Nicole Scherzinger said 'The Voice' judges have it easy.
The 39-year-old singer is currently a judge on the 'X Factor', along with Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne, but in a recent conversation with the rival music competition judge will.i.am, Nicole said 'The Voice' sounds like a "vacation".
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, will.i.am said: "We do 10 days from October and then we have January off and then in March we do the lives and you work three days a week. And she was like 'but how many hours do you do?' I was like 'I go to the studio at 10am and you're out by 9/10. 12-hour days'. She's like 'do you know how much we work on 'X Factor'? Yours seems like a vacation'."
And the Black Eyed Peas singer will no doubt use that reference when he tries to recruit his best friend Cheryl for 'The Voice' as he recently said it would be "dope" if the 34-year-old star sat alongside him on the panel next year.
He said: "It would be dope to have Cheryl on 'The Voice'. That would be cool. It would be pretty cool for us to work together."
The 42-year-old rapper famously managed the brunette beauty's solo career until they went their separate ways in 2013 but, despite their professional split, they've always remained close friends.
Will.i.am's determination to get Cheryl on the popular show, which was previously screened on BBC until ITV swiped it from the broadcaster in a mega deal earlier this year, comes after it was reported that 'The X Factor' boss Simon was trying to persuade her to return to his programme for the Judges' Houses round in October.
The 57-year-old music mogul is keen to recruit the singer to join him at Judges' Houses during this series of the singing competition show and is willing to offer a hefty sum of £50,000 to get her back on screen.
A source said: "Simon wants to pull out all the stops for this year's show, and bagging Cheryl's long-awaited return to telly would be one of his top wishes."
