Nicky Clarke is the first celebrity to be eliminated from new show The Jump.
The celebrity hairstylist was booted off the Channel 4 reality show last night - which teaches famous faces how to do various winter sports - after coming second to last in the Giant Slalom event, during which he took part in 'jump-off' against 5ive singer Ritchie Neville.
The 55-year-old was given a possible lifeline when Ritchie declared he'd only been cleared for the smallest ski-jump track because he was "too dangerous," which meant Nicky was also able to opt for the smaller track, but he didn't launch himself far enough and was beaten by the 34-year-old and knocked out of the competition.
Other celebrities taking part include Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave - who completed the Giant Slalom course in a swift time of 39.3 seconds - compared to Ritchie's last-place time of 54.79 seconds - comedian Marcus Brigstocke and fashion writer Henry Conway.
Tonight (27.01.14) will see the female celebrities take to the Skeleton - a small sledge which takes them head first down an icy track and is likely to be one of the hardest events in the competition.
Former pop-star Sinitta breaks down in tears after being joined by former 'The Only Way is Essex' star Amy Childs, Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and former 'Dancing On Ice' contestant and broadcaster Anthea Turner.
The female celebrities with the slowest times on the Skeleton track will also take part in a 'jump-off'.
