The Hollyoaks actor, 48 who plays Tony Hutchison on the long-running Channel 4 soap, was eliminated from the ITV jungle show on Wednesday (06.12.23) night’s episode of the series after he lost out to Josie Gibson in the public vote after they both came “bottom two” in the latest elimination.

Despite his shock exit – which was met with shock by floods of his fans on social media – Nick arrived with a smile on his face for his exit interview with hosts Ant and Dec.

He said his family who persuaded him to go on the show, adding: “I’ve never been asked before, it was an honour to be asked... it was great, it was so much fun.”

Nick added he is rooting for ‘Made In Chelsea’ regular Sam Thompson to win the 2023 series, gushing about his former campmate: “(He) deserves it. Well, they all deserve it, but he does and I think he really wants to... he’s the lifeblood of that camp.”

The actor then walked across the ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ bridge, where he was greeted with a hug from his girlfriend Sarah Corrin.

Fans said they were “devastated” to see Nick go, with many calling him a “lovely guy”.

‘First Dates’ star Fred Sirieix was the third star to be voted out the camp on Tuesday (05.12.23), after the exits by YouTube influencer Nella Rose and Frankie Dettori.

Britney Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn Spears and Grace Dent both exited the jungle after separately quitting on medical grounds, with seven campmates now remaining.

Fred had a drama-filled time in camp after clashing with Nigel Farage over Brexit, rowing with Josie Gibson about the cooking and being branded offensive by Nella for saying was old enough to be her dad – which she took badly as both her parents have died.
