Bringing Frank Castle aka The Punisher to life earlier this year in the second season of Daredevil, Jon Bernthal will make his return to Netflix with his own original solo Marvel series, simply titled The Punisher. This week, the streaming service have released an exciting new teaser trailer for the show, which you can check out below:
The Punisher will see Frank Castle delve into the world of conspiracy, in an underworld that stretches much further than New York’s criminal activity. Known throughout the city for his ‘take no prisoners’ attitude, The Punisher has gained revenge for the deaths of his loved ones, but now takes on another challenge.
Discovering injustices that affect a lot of innocent people, this will be the show that reveals the more human side of Frank Castle. Whether or not that will see him become a hero remains to be seen.
Executive produced by Steve Lightfoot, Jim Chory and Jeph Loeb, The Punisher stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Deborah Ann Woll, Amber Rose Revah, Ben Barnes, Michael Nathanson, Jaime Ray Newman, Jason R Moore and Paul Schulze, along with the returning Bernthal.
Though we don’t have a specific release date just yet, we know The Punisher will hit Netflix before the end of the year.
