Teased for months, horror fans have just a little longer to wait before the Damien television series comes to screens, with the A&E drama following the adult life of Damien Thorn, here played by Bradley James.
Discovering his own origins 25 years after the events of the original Omen movie, Damien realises he must embrace his life as the Anti-Christ and now some of the premise of the show has been revealed in the new 'End of Days' visuals, featuring a voiceover from the man himself who says a "dark cloud" has always been hanging over him.
Flashes of religious iconography are present as well as a glimpse into all of the drama and chaos which is going to be caused.
Barbara Hershey's character in the show, Ann Rutledge, will be guiding Damien's path, becoming his guardian in the years following his parents' death.
Speaking to THR at the end of last year, showrunner Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead) said: "I think Damien is cutting-edge material. It's trying to push the boundaries as far as violence and horror go. There's a lot of really great drama on TV and that was not the case in 1976 when the film came out. So the bar is set so high given other great horror shows that are on TV. We have our work cut out for us; everybody is really interested in pushing the boundaries. I think we've got a few episodes that people are going to be talking about."
Damien premieres on A&E in the US on March 7 at 10/9c.
