Ferne McCann has named her baby girl Finty Frances Haines-McCann.

The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star feels the name she gave her newborn daughter - who she gave birth to on 9 July - gives off the same vibe as a “character out of ‘Bridgerton’” and had wanted to give it to her eldest daughter Sunday, five, after getting the inspiration from Dame Judi Dench’s daughter, Tara Williams, 50, who goes by the nickname Finty.
The 32-year-old TV star told OK! magazine: “It was on my name list when I gave birth to Sunday. “I don’t know where I got it from, but when I typed it in [on Google] I saw Judi Dench’s daughter’s nickname is Finty. I’ve always loved it and never heard it anywhere else before.
“I just feel so connected to the name – she came out and she was just Finty. I think she sounds like a character out of Bridgerton.”
Ferne - who she had with her fiance Lorri Haines, 33, who has a son from a previous relationship who he keeps out of the spotlight -
She said: “We are all so happy. She’s such a chilled out girl.”
The ‘Ferne McCann: First Time Mum’ star made no apology about wanting to be like “the Essex Kris Jenner” and channel the Kardashian matriarch - who has daughters Kourtney Kardashian, 44, Kim Kardashian, 42, Khloe Kardashian, 39, Kendall Jenner, 27, and Kylie Jenner, 25 - with an “army” of about four daughters.
Ferne said: “I wanted a girl for that reason. I was quite honest about wanting a girl. Throughout my pregnancy, and this is no disrespect to all the boy mums out there, I just had a preference and I couldn’t see myself with a boy. I see myself as the Essex Kris Jenner with this army of girls and after having Finty, I reckon I could have two more. I’d have another one tomorrow!”
