Peacock are bringing video game Twisted Metal to the small screen, with a live-action adaptation that we now know will star Scream actress, Neve Campbell, alongside Anthony Mackie (The Falcon and The Winter Soldier), Thomas Haden Church (Spider-Man: No Way Home) and Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn 99).
Campbell takes on the recurring role of Raven, a character who drives a vehicle called Shadow, which is modelled after a hearse. Exactly how much of Raven's in-game character will be brought to television remains to be seen, but we're sure she'll be wearing darker clothes and sticking to at least some of her more gothic-esque traits.
Mackie meanwhile, is taking on the role of John Doe; a man tasked with delivering a mystery package across the post-apocalyptic land in exchange for an opportunity at a better life.
Beatriz's character Quiet looks to be an original created entirely for the series, whilst Church will play Agent Stone, a driver of the car Outlaw who doesn't mind using lethal force whilst on the job, following the strong tradition of law enforcement.
It's going to be a busy year for Campbell, who is also rumoured to be returning for the sixth Scream instalment, alongside legend of the horror series, Courteney Cox.
Twisted Metal should be a great watch, with comedy woven throughout and alongside the action and drama, but we haven’t got any idea just when it will hit Peacock just yet! We’ll keep an eye and keep you updated with the latest news.
