A nationwide clap for Captain Sir Tom Moore has been organised for 6pm on Wednesday (03.02.21).

The former military officer - who raised millions for charity amid the coronavirus pandemic - passed away at the age of 100 on Tuesday (02.02.21), and Prime Minister Boris Johnson has encouraged Brits to show their appreciation for him.
He wrote on Twitter: "Tonight at 6pm we will clap to honour the life of Sir @CaptainTomMoore and all those health workers who he recognised with his fundraising.
"#ClapForCaptainTom (sic)"
Captain Tom - who helped to raise money for the NHS by walking 100 laps of his garden amid the pandemic - died shortly after being diagnosed with coronavirus.
The war veteran also performed a cover version of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' with Michael Ball and became the oldest person to achieve a UK number one.
His charitable efforts were recognised by Queen Elizabeth in July, when he was awarded a knighthood by the monarch during a special ceremony at Windsor Castle, and she's paid a glowing tribute to Captain Tom.
The Royal Family Twitter account said: "The Queen is sending a private message of condolence to the family of Captain Sir Tom Moore. Her Majesty very much enjoyed meeting Captain Sir Tom and his family at Windsor last year. Her thoughts and those of the Royal Family are with them."
The Prime Minister also hailed Captain Tom's "astonishing" charitable achievements.
He wrote on Twitter: "Captain Sir Tom Moore was a hero in the truest sense of the word. In the dark days of the Second World War he fought for freedom and in the face of the country's deepest post war crisis, he united us all, he cheered us all up, and he embodied the triumph of the human spirit.
“It is quite astonishing that at the age of 100 he raised more than £32 million for the NHS, and so gave countless others their own chance to thank the extraordinary men and women who have protected us through the pandemic.
"He became not just a national inspiration but a beacon of hope for the world. Our thoughts are with his daughter Hannah and all his family."
