Nadiya Hussain will present new documentary 'Life In Lockdown'.

The 35-year-old 'Great British Bake Off' winner will narrate the BBC One doc, which explores how BBC Children in Need funded projects have helped children during the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the BBC, "'Life in Lockdown' is a powerful, uplifting and touching film which proves how brilliantly resilient children and young people can be in the face of a global crisis. This film shines a light on children and young people experiencing a variety of challenges whilst they also cope with the effects of the pandemic, and reveals how BBC Children in Need funded projects are providing vital support for families during this incredibly difficult time."

The documentary will feature Newcastle-based Cody, nine, and his younger sister Addison, who was diagnosed a rare genetic condition that affects her brain development. The siblings have been getting support from LD: NorthEast (Learning Disabilities North East), which receives BBC Children in Need funding to help those with complex physical or learning disabilities and provide activities for their siblings.

The show will follow Swansea siblings Leo, 14, Lilah, 13 and Zion, nine, who live with their grandmother Emma after their mother died five years ago. They have all been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and receive support in the form of BBC Children in Need funded projects at Swansea Autism Movement (CIC), Swansea Community Farm and Surfability UK (CIC).

'Life in Lockdown' will also feature Ethan, 12, from Hertfordshire has been diagnosed with Stargardt disease, which causes progressive damage or deterioration of the retina and Beatrice, eight, from Lancashire, whose younger sister Rosalind died from cancer a year ago.

According to the BBC: "'BBC Children in Need: Life in Lockdown' provides a unique and heartfelt snapshot of some remarkable children who are coping with additional challenges whilst they try to live their lives during a global crisis."
