'Mrs. Brown's Boys' actors have furiously quit after learning about huge pay gap.Damien McKiernan and Gary Hollywood - who play couple Dino and Rory - have reportedly left the popular BBC sitcom after they learned they were being paid less than their fellow castmates and were told they wouldn't be appearing in the Christmas specials.A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Gary and Damien were confused and hurt when they realised they were getting paid less than the others. When they raised the issue it did not go down very well. Gary was later told he would only be appearing in one of this year’s Christmas specials. That was the last straw, so he told them he was quitting."It was even worse news for Damien. He was simply told he is being written out. They are both heartbroken that things have turned out this way."'Mrs Brown's Boys' follows loud-mouthed Irish matriarch Agnes Brown - played by Brendan O'Carroll - who meddles in the lives of her six children. The holiday installment is one of the BBC's main shows during the festive period and has reportedly started production without the two actors. The insider added that his co-stars, such as Jennifer Gibney, had tried to convince the stars to stay but that their minds had "been made up".However, the pair are not the first to leave the show as Rory Cowan - who originally played Rory Brown - quit the show in 2017 after he revealed he had not enjoyed being on set for the previous two years. He said: I got tired of it, I haven’t been happy for the last two years working there.“There was no row with Brendan, there was no dispute over money or anything, in fact quite the opposite, I got so well paid that it enabled me to be able to leave, I didn’t need to stay.”However, he later revealed that he no longer speaks to his former colleagues, saying: "I don't keep in touch with the people I worked with on Mrs Brown's Boys. Not because I left on bad terms."It's like anybody who changes jobs. You leave and you just don't see the old work mates you used to work with."
