Mr FreezeGotham's director Danny Cannon is currently pitching an idea to his colleagues about bringing Mr Freeze to the cast of forthcoming new prequel series Gotham.
In an interview with Hitfix, he revealed he's pushing for Freeze to join the ranks of the other DC villains involved, but needs to persuade Geoff Johns and Bruno Heller to get onboard.
"I have a big pitch with Bruno about the Mr Freeze character, whose origins are uncertain. If I can win Geoff Johns over and if I can win Bruno over, then I look forward to the moment where that character can be realised" Cannon said to Daniel Fienberg.
The only origins seen for Freeze so far were first introduced in Batman: The Animated Series and saw the tragic tale of Freeze's terminally ill wife Nora being cryogenically frozen.
Arnold Schwarzenegger did his best to bring Freeze to life as the main antagonist in the 1997 movie Batman & Robin, but there's no word about who Cannon has in mind to take on the role if he is successful.
Gotham premieres this autumn in America on FOX.
