'This Morning' presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard had a "lovely" catch up with Holly Willoughby at the National Television Awards (NTAs).
The pair were confirmed as the new regular presenters of the ITV show in February after taking over from Holly and her former co-host Phillip Schofield, and Cat revealed she and the 'Dancing on Ice' host shared a warm embrace backstage at London's The O2 on Wednesday night (11.09.24).
Speaking about the NTAs, Ben said: "How lovely to see Holly there."
Cat added: "Oh it was lovely, and we saw each other backstage.
"She was running one way I was running the other - we gave each other a big kiss, trying not to trip on our gowns and walk in our high heels."
Ben also commented on the Kolchagov Barba strapless silver-and-black gown Holly wore on the night, which is said to be worth £30,000.
He said: "I'm led to believe that that dress is worth a fair bit of dosh.
"But it was just gorgeous to see her there."
Ben also joked that fellow 'This Morning' presenter Alison Hammond was "very distracting" during the ceremony.
He said: "It was a really wonderful, joyous occasion to be with the team.
"Alison and Dermot were sitting just in front of us. Alison is very distracting."
Cat added: "We're kind of the naughty corner. When you put us all together like that we're definitely the naughty corner who need watching."
Ben said: "We certainly had a fabulous night.”
Holly made a sudden departure from the brunchtime show last year after she was made aware of a kidnapping plot against her.
In July, it was revealed security guard Gavin Plumb had been jailed for life after he was found guilty of plotting to kidnap, rape and murder the TV presenter.
