This Morning's Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were overcome with emotion on Thursday (13.07.17) when they said goodbye to their resident guide dog Luna.
The beautiful white Labradoodle - a Labrador and Poodle mix - joined the brunchtime show at just 10 weeks old at the end of last year to get her ready for her training as an assistant dog for the disabled and, after 10 months on the programe, she flew the nest today to start the next chapter of her journey - much to the presenters' disapproval.
Phillip told the cameras: "It's a bit of a sad day for all of us as we're going to bid a sad farewell to Luna. She's about to start her life as a fully-fledged guide dog.
"Actually not specifically that, she's going into her next set of training. Which quite frankly I think she probably needs!"
Holly then looked down at the adorable pooch and said: "You've been a beautifully amazing dog and I've loved watching you grow."
An emotional Phillip added: "I'm going to miss you a lot."
This isn't the first time the presenters have been forced to say goodbye to a dog as their previous resident dog Clover - Luna's half sister - also went through the same process last summer but is now living life as a fully-fledged guide dog for the disabled.
It's not yet known if the show are planning to get another puppy for training this year.
