'This Morning' presenter Alison Hammond and her significant other are engaged.
That is according to her future father-in-law Colin Hawkins, 72, who revealed both Alison and his landscape gardener son Ben Hawkins have popped the question to one another, but they are yet to marry and it is expected to be a private affair when they do.
Asked whether the couple are to tie the knot, he told MailOnline: "I do know they have both proposed to one another but there are no rings that I know of.
"They are really happy but they haven't got everything sorted just yet but they are both talking about marriage, that is true.
"What I do know is that when it happens none of us will know about it because it'll be done in private. That much they have told me."
Colin also praised the 48-year-old TV presenter as "the nicest woman we've ever met".
He added: "I love Alison to bits. She's the nicest woman we've ever met. I would love to tell you a load of stories and they are all good, but I can't because she's asked us to keep things private.
"If you go to her when you're in trouble, she will help you, that's the way she is.
"I know they will get it together and I won't be there to see it, but it will be a very proud day for me. I will be Alison's father-in-law and that'll be lovely."
In May last year, Alison confirmed she was "off the market" after her 'This Morning' co-host Dermot O'Leary let slip on air that she had a boyfriend.
Speaking on an episode of the show, he said to her: "You're not available anymore, but if you were, jeez what a catch!"
Alison initially said: "What do you mean I'm not available? I'm available!"
But she then admitted: "I have got somebody guys, I'm off the market, I'm so sorry guys."
