'This Morning' fans have been left furious after the show was taken off air on Tuesday (25.10.22).
The ITV brunchtime programme is not on today due to an ITV special about Rishi Sunak taking over as the new Prime Minister, but some die-hard viewers of the show have hit out at the "ridiculous" decision to replace 'This Morning'.
A tweet on the show's official Twitter account read: "#ThisMorning will be off-air today due to ITV’s news coverage of the new Prime Minister, but we’ll be back tomorrow from 10am!"
One fan replied: "That’s ridiculous!"
Another wrote: "This Morning is more important, more interesting, more enjoyable, more entertaining, more fun than Downing Street and the Government and This Morning should not have been cancelled ROLL ON TO WEDNESDAY THIS MORNING SHOW (sic)"
Some fans questioned why ITV couldn't make use of other channels when shifting schedules, with one supporter even questioning why 'This Morning' wasn't moved to ITV2 for the morning.
One posted: "Why couldn’t they move the show to itv2 and still have it on? (sic)"
Another shared: "How many Channels do @ITV have why is it always itv 1 who's programs are pulled ridiculous (sic)"
Several fans were also disappointed to hear the news because 'Outlander' actor Sam Heughan was due to be on the programme on Tuesday.
But one viewer was just relieved not to be missing their fix of Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, who host the show on Fridays.
They posted: "At least its not on Alison and Dermot's day"
It comes as regular 'This Morning' hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby had only been back from their half-term break for one day this week. Dermot and Alison stood in for the pair last week.
