Molly-Mae Hague has named her baby Bambi.
The 23-year-old reality star has been in a relationship with 'Love Island' co-star Tommy Fury since they met on the set of the ITV2 dating show 'Love Island' in 2019 and after announcing the arrival of their daughter on Monday (30.01.23), took to social media again the following day to confirm that the little one shares a name with the animated mule deer from the 1942 Disney classic.
Alongside a snap of the new born lying next to a plush of the Disney character underneath a light that spelled out her name, Molly-Mae wrote on Instagram: "Bambi [white heart emoji]"
Towards the end of last year, Molly-Mae explained that she had chosen the name when she was a child herself and teased that the moniker was "really unusual" and "different" and insisted that she knew nobody else with that name.
She said: "Yes, we do have a baby girl name picked out, I've had the name picked out since I was a baby girl myself. It's always been a dream baby girl name and luckily when I met Tommy and I told him the name I've always dreamt of using, he absolutely loved it too. It's a really really unusual and a different name, I do not know anybody else with the name. I've not seen any other girls with the name before, it's that different."
The PrettyLittleThing creative director gave birth to her first child last week and when announcing the arrival explained that becoming a mum had been "one of the best things" that had happened to her as she promised to love the new born unconditionally.
She said: "One week old today. I can't believe we get to keep you forever. Becoming your mum has been one of the best things to ever happen to me... it doesn't seem possible but my love for you grows with each passing moment. There is no feeling like holding you in my arms little one, my heart literally explodes. Thank you for entering this world safely for us and blessing us with the gift of being your parents. We promise to love and care for you unconditionally forever."
