Michelle Keegan has rejected an offer to stand in for Holly Willoughby on 'Celebrity Juice'.
The former 'Coronation Street' actress turned down the chance to become a team captain on the ITV2 show for six episodes when the 'This Morning' host goes on maternity leave because she has other work commitments.
A source said: "She went down a storm when she appeared on the show in May. She even took it in good humour when we dumped jellied eels on her head.
"But unfortunately, although Michelle said she loves the show, it clashed with another project that she has already signed up for this year."
Despite having to turn down the chance to team up with Keith Lemon and Fearne Cotton on the panel show, Michelle is said to be excited about landing a new part in a drama.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: "It's a drama which she is very excited about, as she has always been keen to focus on acting after leaving 'Corrie'."
The 27-year-old actress - who is engaged to Mark Wright - previously expressed her desire to appear in period drama 'Mr Selfridge' because she has plenty of experience after working in Selfridges department store during her younger years.
She said: "I would absolutely love a part in 'Mr Selfridge'. I'm qualified after all, and I know the history behind it all.
"When I first started working in Selfridges, we had a big talk about when and how it first opened and they talked about founder Mr. Selfridge as well."
What's more, she has also expressed her desire to appear in costume dramas.
She said: "I'd love to be totally transformed for a part with a really dramatic look and some completely out-there costumes. I'm a massive fan of 'Game of Thrones'.
"I've always wanted to play Henry VIII's wife. Comedy and costume drama would be my fantasy come true."
