Michelle Collins is to expose "tempestuous relationships" on 'Coronation Street' and 'EastEnders' in a new book.
The 51-year-old actress - who played no-nonsense Cindy Beale in the BBC One soap on and off between 1988 and 1998 and now stars as loveable landlady Stella Price in the ITV show - is expected to lift the lid on several soap secrets in her new autobiography, which has left TV bosses fearing a backlash.
The blonde beauty's publisher Lesley O'Mara said: "Michelle's own story is even more riveting than the storylines of 'Coronation Street'."
Michelle's tome will hit the shelves in April and will also explore her battles with eating disorders anorexia and bulimia, as well as the story of how she was raised in humble beginnings in Hackney, east London, before trying to make it big as a pop singer.
The 'Corrie' star - who is leaving the soap in April - admits she has turned down several offers to write a book previously, but feels 2014 is the right time to disclose her showbiz secrets.
She is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: "I've been asked many times to write my story but the time has never been right. Now it's the right time."
