Michael McIntyre is set to earn £500,000 from his upcoming new chat show, which will air just six episodes.
The 37-year-old comedian will interview three guests a week on the programme, 'The Michael McIntyre Chat Show', for which he will earn £83,000 per episode, and he is delighted about his new opportunity.
He said: "From my very first conversation I remember thinking, 'This should be televised!'
"Well now the British Broadcasting Corporation has made my dream a reality.
"I am overwhelmingly excited about meeting and having fun with my favourite celebrated people on 'The Michael McIntyre Chat Show'."
Charlotte Moore, Controller of BBC One, is equally thrilled about the show, which is set to air on March 10, and is hoping he can bring his own spin to it.
She added: "Michael McIntyre is one of the country's leading comedians and I'm thrilled he will be bringing his own unique flavour to a brand new chat show for BBC One."
