Michael C. Hall is an actor many people know as the character Dexter, from the television series of the same name. Ever since making his mark on that show, the actor has gone from strength to strength and proved his acting chops with a variety of different roles. Now it’s been revealed he’ll be stepping into the shoes of a very famous US President – John F. Kennedy.
Netflix original series The Crown proved to be a critical and commercial success upon its release to the streaming platform last year, with a second season confirmed and likely snapped up by Netflix as soon as possible. Winning a Golden Globe for Best Television Series, it’s clear that The Crown has a very bright future.
Based on the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, the show boasts a brilliant cast including Claire Foy and Matt Smith, and now according to THR, Michael C. Hall has joined proceedings as JFK.
He’s not the only new name attached to the show, with Jodi Balfour set to play his wife Jackie Kennedy and recent reports revealing that Lord Snowdon – the man who married Princess Margaret in the 60s – will be played by Matthew Goode.
Moving into a brand new decade, it looks as if series writer Peter Morgan is sticking to his plan of following Queen Elizabeth’s reign for six decades through six seasons.
The Crown is expected to return to Netflix later this year.
