Melanie Sykes doesn't feel "comfortable" in front of the camera.
The 'Let's Do Lunch with Gino and Mel' presenter has been working in the TV and modelling industries since she was just 18 and has been known to upload scantily-clad pictures of herself on Twitter, but she insists she isn't as confident as people think she is.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'm not that comfortable in front of the camera, it doesn't come completely natural to me, but it's just what I've done for so long."
But when the 43-year-old beauty is not in front of the camera she loves trying new things and has recently been practicing her clay pigeon shooting with a view to entering a competition.
She added: "I'm actually training to compete in a specific type of clay pigeon shooting discipline. So I've been doing quite a lot recently."
Melanie also enjoys walking in her spare time, so much so she is currently backing The Ground Miles campaign, an initiative by healthcare specialists Bupa, to encourage people to do more walking.
She said: "Even on the school run yesterday I did nearly two miles and that was encouraging because I couldn't believe that was the distance I'd covered."
Melanie is the ambassador for Bupa's Ground Miles campaign, which has an app for smartphone users to download to track their movement. For more information visit: http://groundmiles.bupa.com
