Mel B landed a secret role in ‘Only Fools and Horses: The Musical’ in the West End for one night only.
The former Spice Girl hit the Royal Haymarket’s stage incognito as a wedding dress shop assistant, who helped Rodney Trotter's fiancée Cassandra Parry to find a gown, as a part of a segment filmed for Sky quiz show 'A League of Their Own’.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Punters will have had no idea that they were watching a glut of showbiz and sporting talent that night, beyond those already in the cast.”
Show panellists Jamie Redknapp, Tom Allen and Freddie Flintoff also made cameos, and a clip of them secretly treading the boards will air on the panel show.
It will also feature Mel B being taught how to speak in a London twang by comedian Paul Whitehouse, the musical's co-creator and actor who plays Grandad.
The source said: “But they all did a great job and fitted in seamlessly. Maybe there’s a future for them all in the West End yet.”
Last week, the former 'Australia's Got Talent' judge posted a black-and-white image of her standing on a stage.
She captioned the Instagram image: "Tonight “I’m a west end girl” so get ready for me. (sic)"
The 'Only Fools' musical - which is based on the classic BBC sitcom of the same name - has run since 2019, and the plot spans over a period of 20 years and features a number of fan favourite moments from the TV show, such as Del Boy Trotter falling through a bar, and Rodney reminding Trigger his name is not in fact Dave.
