Mel Giedroyc is desperate to co-host the 'Generation Game' with Sue Perkins.
The 49-year-old television presenter and the 47-year-old comedian became a great double act as they co-hosted 'The Great British Bake Off' together, but they have since gone their separate ways and embarked on solo projects.
However, the golden-haired beauty has hinted she is eager to join forces with Sue on the game show because she "loves" Saturday night television, although she has remained tight-lipped as to whether she has been confirmed to join the programme.
Speaking to The Sun's TV magazine, the star said: "Who knows! It'd be amazing. I love a bit of Saturday-night TV."
And Mel has admitted she feels lost without her sidekick, and regularly finds herself looking around in search of Sue.
She said: "Sometimes I find myself looking to the left and right, thinking: 'Oh, Sue, where are you?' But this is about the joy of going on that stage - the vibe on set is brilliant."
Mel has revealed 2017 has been the "busiest year" of her "entire life" as she is set to present the new talent competition 'Pitch Battle', which will air on BBC One on Saturday (17.06.17), and previously co-hosted 'Let It Shine' alongside Graham Norton.
She said: "This is the busiest year I've had in my entire life."
However, Mel is happy to have a chaotic work schedule, and feels "blessed" she has been selected to work on "fun projects" because she fears for her future.
She explained: "I feel blessed. All the shows I've been involved with are fun - and they all have music in. I'm going to be 50 in 2018 and I figure that I should try to get as much in before then. After 50, you never know what might happen."
