Despite some trolls taking a disliking to her former profession and going under the knife, the star insists she is "proud" of her past and isn't as bothered by keyboard warriors nowadays.

She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It was difficult when I first came out of the villa as I was inundated with hate regarding my surgery and previous profession.

"But I’m not bothered, embarrassed or ashamed! I’m proud of myself and where I have come from and my past. It has made me the person I am today."

Megan - who now has her own podcast, 'You Come First' - is "so glad" she took part in 'Love Island', because the show has given her a great platform to help other women.

She added: "Before I went in, I had no idea what to expect. I didn’t know how my life would change. But I am so glad I did it.

"I’ve always been fascinated by discussing women’s interests and I’ve been given a platform that I am really trying to use to primarily help women. I’ve been invited to do amazing talks, TV shows, podcasts and work with some fantastic brands.

"I also feel so lucky to have such a wonderful audience.

"I get stopped in the street and told, 'I’m so grateful you spoke about this,' or, 'You really helped me look into this,' and people tell me how I have helped them improve their lives.

"It’s a really special feeling. That’s how the idea for the podcast came about – the hundreds of DMs from girls asking me to start one – you have to give people what they want don’t you!"
