Maya Jama has joined the presenting line-up for ITV's 'Cannonball'.
The brunette beauty has been announced as one of the hosts of the new primetime water-based gameshow, which will air before 'The X Factor', alongside pop star Frankie Bridge, Radzi Chinyanganya, comedian Ryan Hand and Freddie Flintoff.
Taking to her Twitter account on Wednesday (12.04.17), Maya teased just moments before the announcement went live online: "SO EXCITED TO FINALLY BE ABLE TO SHARE THE NEWS THAT HAS HAD ME SKIPPING EVERYWHERE (sic)"
She then followed it up with the tweet: "I am going to be presenting the brand new @ITV show #cannonball !!!! Prime time innnnaaa thissssssss (sic)"
News of the new challenge show was first announced in February, when it was reported that bosses at the popular broadcaster were looking to emulate the success of their current physicality-based challenge show 'Ninja Warrior UK' and rival broadcaster BBC's bonkers 'Total Wipeout', which was axed in 2013.
'Cannonball' will see contestants compete in a variety of water-based tasks, and will include entertaining challenges such as attempting the highest and longest jumps possible from water slides whilst wearing fancy dress.
The programme is being shot in Valetta, Malta, in late April, so hopeful applicants aren't put off by the idea of getting into freezing cold water.
Freddie explained: "What's not to love about this show: Gallons of water and giant great inflatable slides are the perfect recipe for some spectacular comedy moments but also throw into the mix some truly incredible feats from the contestants."
