Maya Jama suffered a minor shoulder injury at the BRIT Awards.
The 'Love Island' host has revealed to a Twitter follower that she hurt her shoulder while dancing at the annual awards show in London on February 11.
The Twitter follower asked her: "@MayaJama , did you catch your shoulder with the hair straighteners!! #loveisland (sic)"
In response, the popular TV presenter explained that the injury happened at the BRITs.
Maya, 28, wrote on the micro-blogging platform: "I was shoulder dancing in a sparkly dress and it scratched at the Brits xx (sic)"
The TV star was among the first celebrities to arrive on the red carpet at the BRITs.
Maya also gave her social media followers an insight into her preparations, revealing that she and her beauty team spent hours getting ready for the event at London's O2 Arena.
Meanwhile, Maya was announced as the new host of 'Love Island' in 2022.
The former BBC Radio 1 host admitted to being a huge fan of the ITV show, after being confirmed as Laura Whitmore's replacement.
She said at the time: "I’ve always been such a massive 'Love Island' fan and I’m so excited to be hosting one of the nation’s favourite shows! I can’t wait to get into the villa to meet all of the Islanders."
Paul Mortimer, ITV's director of reality programming and acquisitions, also welcomed Maya to the platform, describing the TV host as "cool, charming and charismatic".
He said: "Finding a new host to follow the wonderful Laura Whitmore was never going to be easy. In Maya Jama though, we have another high-profile fan of the show who’ll be a great addition to the 'Love Island' family.
"Cool, charming and charismatic, I speak for us all when I say Maya will also bring a unique presenting style to the show, as did Laura and, of course, the very much missed Caroline Flack. We’re very pleased to have her on board."
