Maya Jama was forced to miss the BAFTA Television Awards after "vomiting all day" on Sunday (06.06.21).

The 26-year-old star was due to present an award at the ceremony, which was hosted by Richard Ayoade at London's Television Centre, and Maya was particularly disappointed because she had picked out the "dress of dreams".
She wrote on her Instagram Stories: "So saddddd I won't be at the BAFTAs today.
"I ate that posh raw tuna s*** and have been [vomiting emoji] all day
"Was supposed to wear the dress of dreams, also I might have to wear it to the shop next week to feel better. (sic)"
Adrian Dunbar, Bill Bailey, and Oti Mabuse were among the guest presenters at the event.
Michaela Coel was the big winner on the night, taking home the Leading Actress prize as well as the Best Mini-Series award and the Best Writer (Drama) accolade for her series 'I May Destroy You'.
She said: "Thank you BAFTA and thank you to the jury for selecting me as your winner today. A huge shoutout to Billie [Piper], Daisy [Edgar-Jones], Hayley [Squires], Jodie [Comer] and Letitia [Wright] because you guys are literally sick. Also, I shouldn't really say it but I wrote my words and I know that your talent to take words that a writer has written and make it sound like your own is unbelievable and I really hope I get to work with each of you one day."
Elsewhere, Diversity's Black Lives Matter routine picked up the Must-See Moment prize, Rakie Ayola won the Supporting Actress accolade for 'Anthony', and Malachi Kirby triumphed in the Supporting Actor category for 'Small Axe'.
Paul Mescal picked up the Leading Actor gong for his role in 'Normal People' and used his speech to pay tribute to his co-star, Daisy Edgar-Jones.
This Country's Charlie Cooper won the Male Performance in a Comedy Programme TV BAFTA, and Sex Education's Aimee Lou Wood took home the female equivalent.
'Save Me Too' won the Drama Series gong, and Comedy Entertainment Programme went to 'The Big Narstie Show'.
