Maura Higgins wants to start a family with Chris Taylor.
The former ‘Love Island’ stars met on the 2019 series of the reality show, but only began dating last year, after they initially enjoyed romances with different people during their time on the ITV2 show.
And now, Maura – who confirmed her romance with Chris during her 30th birthday celebrations in November, but did not say how long they’ve been dating for – has said she’s eager for her beau to “give [her] that engagement ring” so they can get married and have children.
She said: “We’re very much in love and we use the L-word a lot. I look into the future and see myself with a family.
“I don’t want a baby any time soon, but when I’m ready and settled.
"I want to be married before I have a baby, so Chris better hurry up and give me that engagement ring, because I’m not getting any younger.”
Prior to Chris, Maura had been dating Curtis Pritchard, with whom she finished in fourth place on ‘Love Island’ before splitting seven months later.
And although Curtis accused the pair of stabbing him in the back when they made their romance official, Maura says their romance only blossomed after she split from Curtis.
She added to The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “We were friends for ages before it ever turned into a relationship. We know each other very well, we never argue, we have such a laugh. It’s really good.
“He’s the male version of me. We’re always goofing around and giggling. We take the Mickey out of each other all the time, it’s a lot of fun, and that’s so important in a relationship.”
