Maura Higgins hopes men aren't "intimidated" by her.
The former 'Love Island' star is known for having a feisty personality, but Maura doesn't want that perception to undermine her chances of finding love.
The brunette beauty - who previously dated her 'Love Island' co-star Curtis Pritchard - told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "I don't care what other people think of me. I really hope men aren't intimidated by me. I want a man that is able to handle me."
In recent months, Maura has been romantically linked to another of her former co-stars, Chris Taylor.
However, Chris recently insisted he's never thought of Maura - who appeared on 'Love Island' in 2019 - as anything other than a "mate".
Chris said: "We care about each other, we look out for each other, we basically bully each other."
He insisted they love to exchange "banter" and rubbished the idea that they have a romantic dynamic, despite recent speculation.
Chris shared: "I don't think we ever say anything nice to each other's faces.
"She's Irish and it's the Irish banter, and that's my kind of banter. If you were around us together you'd think, 'These two f****** hate each other.'"
Chris also acknowledged that by entering into a relationship, they would risk ruining their friendship.
He said: "We don't see each other that way. We're platonic, as they say. Platonic friends."
