Matty Lee has signed up for 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'.
The Olympian clinched gold alongside his diving partner Tom Daley in the synchronised dive at this summer's Tokyo Olympics, and he looks set to swap his swimming trunks for a pair of the ITV show's trademark red trousers later this year.
A source said: "Matty became one of the most talked about names in the Olympics Games this summer.
"There had been some talk of getting Tom on board before but after his performance in the Olympics Matty became a hot favourite and his diary was free. The timing was perfect."
Matty is said to be "really excited" about taking part in the show.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: "Matty is young, strong and will thrive under the pressures of the challenges.
"He is really excited about getting on board and diving into the action."
This year's 'I'm A Celebrity' will take place at Gwrych Castle in Abergele, Wales, for the second year running after it was deemed too tricky to head to Australia amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Other stars linked to the upcoming series include 'Coronation Street' actor Simon Gregson, who plays Steve McDonald in the ITV soap.
He could be joined by 'EastEnders' star Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale), 'Good Morning Britain' guest presenter Richard Madeley, and former 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge Dame Arlene Phillips.
Ant and Dec will once again host the show, and the contestants are expected to isolate for two weeks before forming a bubble for the series.
An 'I'm A Celebrity' spokesman said: "We do not comment on speculation."
