Matthew Wright found the camp on I'm A celebrity boring.
The 'Wright Stuff' presenter admitted he was happy to be evicted from the show last night (03.12.13) along with Vincent Simone as he was tired of life in the jungle, and felt the show was too focussed on 'The Only Way is Essex' star Joey Essex.
He said: "I had enough pretty much by Friday of last week. It seemed pretty obvious that it's the Joey show and he'll be with Kian [Egan] in the final. I was just left sort of twiddling my thumbs and I thought, I'd rather be twiddling my thumbs with my lovely wife than sat bored."
Matthew also admitted he almost didn't make it into camp as he struggled to get over his spider phobia before arriving in Australia and was concerned he would flop in the Bushtucker Trials in the way Helen Flanagan did last year.
Speaking on 'This Morning', he said: "I was on the verge of pulling out, because I didn't want to do a Helen Flanagan and let everybody down in the challenges.
"I had three weeks of phobia therapy. Three weeks, two hours of talking with this guy and I knew I could handle a spider but when I got there I didn't actually know if talking to a bloke for two hours, every day, for three weeks was going to be enough to get me through and so I had a panic attack."
And despite his time on the show coming to an end, Matthew is "proud" of what he accomplished.
He said: "I feel so proud of my journey from a scared man to an unsecured man.
