Matthew Wolfenden is "OK" following his foot operation.
The 'Emmerdale' actor's co-star Amy Walsh - who plays his character David Metcalfe's estranged wife Tracy Metcalfe - has joked the 38-year-old actor is "always up at the hospital" and is "a bit dramatic", but reassured fans he feels fine following his op.
Speaking at the TV Choice Awards at London's Dorchester Hotel on Monday night (10.09.18), she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "He's always up at the hospital - he's a very clumsy guy.
"He's OK, I spoke to him the other day and he didn't mention it in the conversation.
"He's a bit dramatic."
Matthew recently took to his Instagram account to reveal he was undergoing an operation by sharing a picture of himself dressed in a hospital gown while he was sat in a hospital bed.
He wrote: "My current view... I'm having an op on my foot, not a caesarean (sic)"
The 38-year-old actor also shared a video from his hospital bed, and as the clip played out a drilling sound could be heard while the operation appeared to be taking place, leaving the star to mouth a concerned comment.
He said: "What's that noise?"
He also captioned post: "What's that noise???? (sic)"
Matthew is yet to reveal what the op is for and whether it will impact his filming schedule on the soap.
The star's foot op comes just weeks after he broke his thumb while playing cricket, after which he re-wrote part of a scene because he had to wear a cast.
He said at the time: "I was playing cricket and got hit with the ball.
"But it's still bloody sore. It was very embarrassing I had to have that put on for two weeks."
