Matt Smith is auctioning his first ever car for charity.
The 'Doctor Who' star is giving away the silver Vauxhall Corsa vehicle he bought in 2000 to the highest bidder in an online auction, with the proceeds benefiting the Starlight Children's Foundation, for which he is an ambassador.
The car, which Matt nicknamed 'The Shed', was purchased just after the 30-year-old actor passed his driving test aged 18, but it has recently been left to collect dust at his parents' home since he became a worldwide star.
He said: "While I have been travelling the universe in my TARDIS, my much-loved Vauxhall Corsa, aka The Shed, has been parked outside my parents' house.
"As my first ever car, it has seen lots of adventures, not to mention a fair few mishaps (hence the dents). I'll be very sad to see it go but I understand my parents want their driveway back!"
The vehicle has been donated to Starlight, which has listed it on auction website eBay. All the profits from its sale will go towards helping terminally ill young children.
Bidding began at just 99p on Wednesday (11.07.13) and the total currently stands at just over £500.
