Matt Richardson fears he may have coronavirus.
The 28-year-old comedian believes he could've come down with COVID-19 - which has killed more than 16,500 people worldwide - because he is experiencing some of the symptoms, and while he thinks he could be "on the mild end" of the virus, he is staying in for two weeks "regardless".
He wrote on Twitter: "Hello kids. I think I might be down with "it". If so, I'm on the mild end. Throbbing sinuses, sore throat, no sense of smell or taste, and I had two days of a slightly raised temperature but that's gone. May well not be, but am in for two weeks regardless. Any advice welcome!
"I am staying at home for Minimum two weeks regardless. I feel absolutely fine in myself. I can understand why my generation wouldn't fear it if this is all they thought it was, but we all know this is the easiest it is. And it's deadly. (sic)"
Matt also admitted he was "shocked" to discover how many of his Twitter following are experiencing similar symptoms.
He wrote: "So, I've had dozens of messages from friends and strangers alike saying they have the same symptoms as me but aren't sure if it's coronavirus or not.
"The list that everyone has had is below.
"No sense of taste or smell
"Raised temperature for a few days (2-4 days)
"Sore throat
"Sore back/ neck
"Tired
"Out of breath after slight activity
"Blocked and painful sinuses
"Obviously this is affecting people in a much more extreme way, but if you have this set of symptoms it may be best to stay in and not risk it.
"I'm shocked how many people share my experience! (sic)"
