Matt Lucas made himself sick on his first day of filming 'The Great British Bake Off'.
The 46-year-old comedian has replaced Sandi Toksvig on the hit show, but Matt seemingly got carried away with the excitement, as he ate 12 contestants' dishes during his first day on set.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper: "Matt was naturally very excited about his new role and really threw himself into the 'Bake Off' experience.
"When he saw all the treats on offer he took the opportunity to do what he couldn't as a viewer - taste them.
"But there's a reason Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith only take small mouthfuls when they're judging and why co-host Noel Fielding only samples the bakes every now and again.
"He certainly felt the effects of overindulging. But it was worth him learning this valuable lesson early."
Prior to shooting the show, Matt admitted he has an intolerance of cheese.
The comedian dislikes the taste and smell of the dairy-based product, and admitted it makes him sick.
He shared: "I really, really, really don't like it. I have an intolerance to it - it makes me sick.
"I don't like the taste or the smell. I can't eat it - it makes me feel very ill."
The 'Little Britain' co-creator joined the show after Sandi decided to quit 'Bake Off' in order to focus on other projects.
The 62-year-old comedy star explained: "When stepping down from a job it is quite common for people to say they are doing so in order to spend more time with their family.
"Unusually I am departing from 'The Great British Bake Off' so I can spend more time with my other work.
"As my waistline will testify, 'Bake Off' is an all-consuming show."
