Matt Hancock is reportedly set to land a bumper pay cheque of £400,000 for 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'.
The former Tory MP will join the likes of Noel Edmonds, Caitlyn Jenner, Harry Redknapp, and his soon-to-be campmate Boy George, as the highest-paid contestants on the ITV reality show.
A source told The Sun: “Matt's pay deal with 'I'm a Celebrity' is around £400,000". [It is] one of the largest ever show fees to have been paid out."
Noel was paid a whopping £600,000 for his stint, despite being the first celebrity to leave the series when he was voted out in 2018.
The ex-Health Secretary - who has come under scrutiny for taking part in the celebrity show - has insisted he will donate some of his fee to charities.
A spokesperson for Matt told the newspaper: “Matt will be making a donation to St Nicholas Hospice in Suffolk and causes supporting dyslexia off the back of his appearance. He will also declare the amount he receives from the show to Parliament to ensure complete transparency, as normal.”
The 44-year-old politician was suspended from the Conservative Party on Tuesday (01.11.22) after it was revealed he was taking part in the show.
'I'm a Celeb' returns on Sunday (06.11.22), when pop icon Boy George, 'Coronation Street' star Sue Cleaver, 'Hollyoaks' actor Owen Warner, former England rugby player Mike Tindall, radio presenter Chris Moyles, England Lioness Jill Scott, comedian Babatunde Aleshe, former 'Love Island' star Olivia Attwood, and TV presenters Charlene White and Scarlette Douglas will enter the camp Down Under.
