The 59-year-old star is going solo after several TV stints with his son Roman, and he'll be looking to win a big cash prize for a contestant on the popular ITV game show.

A source told The Sun: “It’s becoming clear that Martin and Roman are a fantastic TV partnership. And while Roman does a lot of panel shows solo, this is Martin’s first stint on the box without him this year.

“They’re going after big stars this year, with Alesha Dixon also on their wishlist, so having Martin sign on the dotted line is brilliant. It was hoped Roman could come on board but the filming dates just didn’t match up.”

'Rolling In It' - which is fronted by Stephen Mulhern - sees three contestants play alongside some of their favourite celebrities in a bid to win a sum of money.

It was previously announced that the 43-year-old presenter is set to return for a second series of the popular game show, which has already proved to be a hit with TV viewers, attracting a peak audience of 4.2 million people during its first run.

Stephen said: "I thoroughly enjoyed making this series and I am delighted that the viewers loved it as much as I did and that we will get the chance to do it all again. I can’t wait to get started."

The first series of the show featured an appearance from reality star Gemma Collins, and Stephen previously admitted to being shocked by the size of her entourage.

He shared: "I went into her dressing room, it was like a 'Who's Who'. And I had to start going round. I went, sorry. Hello. I'm Stephen. Nice to meet you. So, what do you do? Oh, I'm Gemma's PA. "PA? Right. Do you mind if I ask what you do? Oh, wardrobe. What? She's only got one change. You're definitely make-up because yeah, you're ready to go. And the dressing room was bigger than mine and I'm like, how's this worked?"
