Martin Bashir has been left "upset" by some trolls following his 'X Factor: Celebrity' performance.
The television journalist survived another week in the competition last weekend when 'Love Actually' child star Olivia Olson was sent home instead of him, and he joked at the time he had bribed head judge and show creator Simon Cowell with a Bentley in order to stay on the show.
But Martin's jibes fell flat with some viewers who were left furious at the decision, and he's now admitted it's been difficult not to "take it personally".
The 56-year-old said: "It's hard not to take it personally but I'm determined not to give trolls the satisfaction of bringing me down."
Martin has also begun to question whether or not he deserves his place on the show.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Everyone is really worried about him as he has been left questioning his place on the show."
Earlier this week, Martin admitted he thought Olivia should have been saved, as he didn't think he would make it to the live shows at all.
He said: "What a beautiful person Olivia is, with an incredible voice.
"She should have stayed in, I shouldn't have got through.
"To be perfectly honest I didn't think I'd get through Simon Cowell's house. I would have been very happy to have finished there."
Simon admitted on the show that he saved Martin because he believed the viewers would prefer to see him continue with his newfound passion for singing.
During the auditions, Martin emotionally revealed his younger brother Tommy died in 1991 aged 29 after a lifelong struggle against the muscle disease muscular dystrophy.
He told the judges - also made up of Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger - that his late brother's memory convinced him to join 'The X Factor: Celebrity'.
