Marnie Simpson lost her identity on 'Geordie Shore'.
The 26-year-old star shot to fame when she joined the cast of the fly-on-the-wall series in 2013, but she announced earlier this year she was quitting, and has now admitted it was partly to find herself again, but she also found it hard sharing the screen with her former on/off boyfriend Aaron Chalmers.
She said: "I think I needed to take a break from 'Geordie Shore' and I felt drained by the whole situation with Aaron.
"I felt I wasn't Marnie anymore and that I was just 'Marnie from 'Geordie Shore'' with Aaron in it.
"I was losing my identity and I needed to take a step back for my own sanity."
As well as Aaron, Marnie was previously engaged to TOWIE's Ricky Rayment and had a six-month relationship with her 'Celebrity Big Brother' housemate Lewis Bloor, which ended when he was unfaithful.
And though she was wary of finding love again because of her past experiences, the brunette beauty couldn't be happier with current partner Casey Johnson.
She added to Closer magazine: "I was in a bad relationship before with Lewis, and so Casey has definitely given me that relationship confidence again.
"After Lewis, I doubted every single man that walked the Earth - I hated them all but Casey has changed that.
"Out of all the people I have been with, Casey is definitely the most genuine. He would never hurt or cheat on me and he would never be dishonest.
"Understandably, he gets jealous of my exes but he trusts and believes me.
"If I wanted to be with any of those other boys, I would be."
