Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have got engaged.
The former 'The Only Way is Essex' hunk and the 'Coronation Street' actress are planning to tie the knot at a star-studded ceremony next year after the reality TV star popped the question last week during a romantic trip to Dubai, the place where they both met just nine months ago.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Mark planned the proposal for some time. For the past few months he has known that Michelle is The One and wanted to surprise her with a romantic proposal.
"After designing the ring himself - which he has been describing as a 'monster rock' - he took it to Dubai. The place is special because it's where they had their first official kiss. Both are blissfully in love and Michelle is utterly made-up."
The loved-up couple are planning to start house hunting next year around Mark's local haunt of Essex, south east England.
Michelle said previously: "We plan to start house hunting after Christmas. We'll have been together for over a year by then and we'll look at areas around Essex so it's easy to travel to London. I'm really excited about it."
However, the brunette beauty - who previously dated Max George before the pair split following cheating allegations - admitted earlier this year she initially felt reluctant to strike up a relationship with the Mark for fear of more heartbreak.
She said: "I thought he was very polite, but I was wary and didn't want to get involved with someone at that time. But the more we met up, the more I liked him."
