Oscar winner actor Marisa Tomei has signed up for a recurring role in the second season of Empire according to a new report Deadline.
According to the news outlet, Tomei will play a demanding venture capitalist who gets tangled in Lyon family drama, named Mimi Whiteman.
As a huge fan of hip hop music, social trends, high-end fashion and beautiful women, she's certain to spice things up in season 2.
Tomei has previously starred in FX's Rescue Me where she did a short story arc, and she's now developing a Gloria Steinem miniseries at HBO under her first-look deal with the network.
She will star as the titular character in the project, and produce the show alongside George Clooney.
Meanwhile, Empire's roster of guest stars for its sophomore season also include Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys and Chris Rock.
