The former Blazin' Squad star - who appeared on 'Love Island' in 2017 - recently announced he and girlfriend Rebecca Vieira, 24, are expecting their first child together but he was unable to accompany her to the hospital for their baby's scan.

Speaking to hosts Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng on Fubar Radio's 'Access All Areas', Marcus, 34, said: "I couldn't go to the first scan because the hospitals weren't letting the partners in. So that was a bit annoying!"

However, the pair are taking no chances with the upcoming gender reveal scan and have booked a private one so Marcel can accompany Rebecca.

He said: "We've booked a private one for Saturday, so when Saturday comes it's gonna be like, I get to go in and we're gonna find out whether we're having a boy or a girl.

"We're gonna get an envelope with it in there but we're not gonna find out because we're gonna have like a little party and do a gender reveal party!"

And Marcel is hoping for a boy so that his son can start his own "Blazin' Squad".

He said: "I will always say I'd be happy to have either, as long as they're healthy and they're happy, but I feel like I've been edging towards a boy!

"I think I've got five mates who are having kids at the same time as me. We're calling them lockdown babies because obviously there's been nothing else to do during lockdown!

"I think four of the five are having little boys so there's going to be one little girl.

"So I could have a little girl and she could only have one mate that she could really hang around with properly but then I could have a boy and he could have a little gang, a new Blazin' Squad!"
