Maisie Smith loves working with Scott Maslen on 'EastEnders' because she always learns "something new" from him.
The 18-year-old actress plays Tiffany Butcher in the BBC One show and she always looks forward to shooting scenes with Scott, who plays her great-uncle Jack Branning, because the soap veteran passes on such great acting tips to her, even though sometimes she struggles to finish her lines because he's always making her laugh.
Speaking to the new issue of Inside Soap magazine, she said: "Every time I'm in a scene with Scott I learn something new. Scott is hilarious on set, too. Honestly, trying to do a scene with him without laughing will just never happen. He's so funny!"
Maisie also appreciates the scenes she gets to film with Natalie Cassidy - who plays Tiffany's aunt Sonia Fowler - and says working with such experienced soap performers feels like she's getting a free acting lesson each day.
She added: "Oh, they are great to work with. It's like being in a class with teachers every time I am in a scene with Natalie or Scott."
Maisie has been part of a host of major storylines in 'EastEnders' this year including her getting involved with a drug-dealing gang and eventually being groomed and raped.
The young star is proud to be entrusted with the writers with such hard-hitting plots and she hopes her performances are showing viewers the dangers that face many teenagers in the UK.
She said: "I've been trusted with such important stories. A lot of my fan base are young, so I think the fact that 'EastEnders' covers these issues - and I'm able to raise awareness for things that teenagers go through in real life - is an honour."
