Maisie Smith, Amber Gill and Ferne McCann are among the stars who will take part in ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ series four.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actress, Love Islander and ex-'The Only Way is Essex’ star will join the likes of West End star Jennifer Ellison, ex footballer Ashley Cain and pro dancers and brothers AJ and Curtis Pritchard on the Channel 4 military endurance show.
The programme - which will be the longest season to date, with seven hour-long episodes - is adapted from the original ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ which sees members of the public endure military training.
Ashley - whose baby daughter Azaylia tragically died from acute myeloid leukaemia in April 2021 - says the programme shows you “who you really are”.
The 31-year-old television personality said: “Losing my daughter was the most difficult experience of my life. I think to combat trauma you need to step outside your comfort zone and see who you really are.
“There's no better way to do that than on 'Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins', so when the opportunity came, I took it with both hands!”
Maisie - who competed on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ before saying farewell to Albert Square - has longed to put her “mental strength” through the wringer.
The 21-year-old actress said: "I've seen the show before and I really wanted to put my mental strength to the test.
"I've always pushed myself but this was beyond limits I didn't even know I had. It was the best experience of my life."
Ferne believes it was “the right time” to take on the “tough” test.
The 32-year-old reality star said: “It just felt like the right time in my life to be challenged. I had no idea what to expect but I wanted to see how tough it really is.
“You're stripped of everything, broken down to the point you have no choice but to build yourself back up again. It was the opportunity of a lifetime and I'm so glad I've done it.”
This series - which is presented by ex Marine Rudy Reyes after Ant Middleton was axed by the broadcaster - will also include TOWIE's Pete Wicks, athlete Dwain Chambers, Olympic champion Jade Jones, boxer Shannon Courtenay, Paralympian Jonathan Broom-Edwards and javelin thrower Fatima Whitbread.
