Lysette Anthony is planning to buy a house in Liverpool after falling in love with the city since starring in 'Hollyoaks'.
The 55-year-old actress recently put pen to paper on a new deal, which kicked off in November, to continue portraying Marnie Nightingale on the Channel 4 soap, and admits she loves the city so much she has become an "honorary Scouser".
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I've signed for another year and I'm buying a house in Liverpool, so I have long-term plans.
"I am an honorary Scouser. I'm made up, it is boss."
However, Lysette - who has played Marnie since 2016 - admits her son James, 14, was initially reluctant to make the move to the north of England, but he is now keen to take his A-levels in the city.
She added: "My son was furious about moving up to Liverpool.
"I said to him, 'Do you want to eat or not?'
"He is now really happy at school, he wants to do his A-levels in Liverpool."
The 'Look Who's Talking Now' actress - who last year accused movie mogul Harvey Weinstein of rape - recently admitted she thinks about bad life experiences to help her get emotional during 'Hollyoaks' scenes.
She said: "Yeah, I've got quite a long list. I'm quite cheerful by the end of day when I get home, because I'm all cried out.
"I absolutely, without a doubt, have the best job in the world. I go to work, I get to cry for a living. Who needs therapy?"
