Luke Friend "got angry" and threw his guitar in frustration after Rough Copy were eliminated from The X Factor.
The 17-year-old wannabe progressed to the 'X Factor' final on Sunday (08.12.13) after landing in the bottom two with the trio, and despite being delighted about reaching the last stage of the ITV competition, he was so disappointed for the boy band.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I came off that stage happy, but not ... I was in a strange mood. I threw my guitar and got angry. It was just a bit of frustration because I was so close to them.
"I've been in the bottom two on three occasions now, I can't believe I'm still in the competition.
"I thought I might go this time as it happened two times before. But I'm just so thankful that I'm here."
Luke hit out at people who have predicted the weekend's 'X Factor' final will be a dull affair by promising to inject some excitement into the last stage of the competition.
He added: "Rough Copy brought some life and soul and stuff but hopefully I can take over that. I'm going to go off on one like I usually do."
Luke has had several celebrity backers throughout the competition and he has been particularly inspired by a triple threat of stars in the shape of former Spice Girls singer Emma Bunton, Seal and JLS' Oritse Williams.
He explained: "I had a surprise the other day when I met Emma Bunton and she said she really liked my singing.
"Seal was amazing as well because I got to bond with him and chat with him. He's been awesome.
"Oritse has been really cool. He's really helped me out, he really believes I can do it, so it's great."
Luke will return to his native Teignmouth in south Devon, south west England, tomorrow (11.12.13) to play a homecoming gig, and he can't wait to reward his loyal fans with a special performance.
He said: "It's so cool my friends have been supporting me so it's really great I can play a gig for them and go and see them and stuff like that. I haven't seen them in like four months."
