Lucy Spraggan has no problem with throwing eggs at people to make a statement.

The former 'X Factor' contestant was amused by viola player Natalie Holt pelting eggs at Simon Cowell during the life final of 'Britain's Got Talent' last month, but thinks Simon is just the frontman for the competition which has been criticised for ruining the music industry.

She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It's fine to throw eggs at people, but don't just think it's Simon Cowell, it's every other corporation as well. You can't throw eggs at one man, it's like throwing an egg at Ronald McDonald and saying that McDonalds ruins everything for everyone, Ronald McDonald is just their frontman."

Although she has previously blasted 'The X Factor' after quitting the show halfway through last year's series for personal reasons, she admits it gave her a great platform for people to recognise her as an artist.

She added: "I've been playing gigs since I was 12 with the same songs that I played on the show, I've done five gigs a week for the last five and still didn't really manage to get as much of a springboard as going on the show did and that really worked wonders for me.

"I'm signed to Colombia records, not just any old record label."
