Lucy Pargeter has branded her 'Emmerdale' character Chas Dingle "selfish" for the way she has treated Paddy Kirk.
Lucy's alter ego Chas has been going through a rough patch with boyfriend Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and has embarked on
a flirtatious friendship with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) which then led to Paddy deciding to go for a drink with his ex Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) and this week the cracks continue to widen between the couple as Chas avoids her man.
During an appearance on 'Loose Women' on Tuesday (03.11.20) Lucy admitted that she definitely approve of Chas' recent behaviour, saying: "She'e been selfish and flippant with the relationship."
Lucy teased fans about this week's 'Emmerdale' episodes, saying that something is going to happen which will make Chas think about how badly she's been treating Paddy.
She added: "It's not going to be plain sailing, definitely not this week. There's going to be a few kind of, more branches on the tree.
"Maybe something will be done to her that it makes her kind of think about what she might have done to Paddy.
"It’s not going to be plain sailing, definitely not this week."
Lucy did have sympathy for Chas for wanting her "ego stroking" by another guy as she has been though a lot of stress and strain since she and Paddy lost their baby daughter Grace and having to face up to the financial reality of having to close her pub due to COVID-19.
Defending Chas for having "not strayed", she said: "They've been through so much since losing Grace and then having Eve ... Also the pub closing down during lockdown has added pressure."
