Lucy Fallon thinks her 'Coronation Street' experience helped with her latest project.
The 25-year-old actress rose to fame as Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, and she leaned on that experience while making the Audible drama 'Sour Hall'.
She shared: "You don’t know what to expect but it really is quite creepy! We got to listen to bits of it while recording and it was so eerie – there’s a Boggart going in one ear and out of the other one. Gave me chills!
"From being on 'Corrie', I am used to doing storylines that have underlying messages or you do it to raise awareness. When I got this script and it had themes like race and sexuality surrounding an interracial lesbian couple, I knew I wanted to do it. Everything that I like to do in acting has been related to an issue to some extent."
Lucy recorded the audio drama - which also features Pearl Mackie - at a farm in Yorkshire during Halloween, and she thinks it actually helped with her performance.
The actress told Metro.co.uk: "That definitely helped. Because we were actually at a farm and filmed a lot at night - it was very atmospheric and you felt you were more filming it. We actually acted it out and we made the sound effects ourselves and it was really interesting. If you needed to run, you actually ran.
"It really helped - being in the middle of Yorkshire on a firm, at Halloween, just us, that was a big factor. I literally love horrors, I am so into all of that - I really wanted to see a ghost!"
