Luke Trotman has confirmed Luke Mabbott is dating Lucie Donlan.
The 'Love Island' runner up - who appeared on the ITV2 dating competition alongside Luke earlier this year - admitted his pal kept his relationship with 2019 Islander Lucie a secret from him "for weeks" but he is delighted for Mabbott.
Speaking to the MailOnline, he revealed: "Luke was very sneaky about that! I was asking him about it for weeks but he just told me last weekend. He's been cool, I think they're well suited and I'm happy for them. Hopefully they last."
The couple were thought to have been messaging each other during the Covid-19 lockdown, and have since hooked up after sharing a series of similar snaps on a mini break across both their social media accounts.
A source told The Sun Online: "They were messaging each other over Instagram during lockdown and as the rules relaxed their romance blossomed!"
Luke is said to have found his "dream woman" in Lucie after splitting from Demi Jones.
The source added: "Luke wasn't single for long after he split with his ex Demi and Lucie is his dream woman - he can't believe his luck."
The 25-year-old heating engineer split from Demi in May after finishing third on the first-ever winter edition.
Demi, 21, called time on their romance because there "wasn't a lot of effort made with communication" when lockdown kicked in.
She recently admitted: "We've completely called it off now, I think it was brought about more from his behalf than mine, but we're mutual and friendly.
"With lockdown, it drove us apart and we live so far away from each other. I feel like there wasn't a lot of effort made with communication, so we drifted as a result. It's a shame and bad timing."
Lucie sparked a romance with fellow Islander Joe Garratt during their time on series five, but it was cut short when Joe was voted out of the villa.
They soon reconciled after the show wrapped only to split four months later after "growing apart" from each other.
An insider revealed at the time: "Joe and Lucie have decided to end things between them.
"They've been so busy with work lately that it's made it difficult for them to find time to see each other. They just grew apart."
